Introduction
For us as keen cyclists, the bike has always been a way to explore the world and an outlet for our athletic ambitions. At the end of May, Pascal will be embarking on his next adventure and compete in Trans Madeira, a week-long mountain bike stage race that explores all corners of the little island in the Atlantic.
At the same time, the war in the Ukraine is raging on and, as many of you, we feel for the countless families that are affected by the devastating consequences. Children in particular are some of the most vulnerable in this crisis, and as parents and uncles ourselves, we can’t help but think “what if” and what can we do to help? That’s why Pascal has decided to raffle off the bike that he will be racing in Trans Madeira and donate all proceeds to the Ukraine Relief Fund of the UBS Optimus Foundation.
